Positive: Nice and tidy. Close to our venue.
Negative: Having to pay $20 an hour extra for a 15 min early check-in to quickly change clothes and drop bags inside. We decided not to do that in the end, but parked outside and left our luggage in the car. We checked in at Karoo House after our business function ended at 11.30pm and left by 9am next day so we didn't really use any facilities so can't comment further.
Summary: Tidy and modern and close to our venue.

Negative: Grass not mown for sometime and weeds between the pavers on the patio. No outside furniture.

Positive: The location was excellent. Plenty of crockery cutlery and glass ware. Oven, fridge and dish drawer were all clean.
Negative: For the top dollar we paid for our stay comparing to other accommodation there was room for improvement. 1) Spa cover very dirty., so what was the inside like? We didn't bother to use as outdoor area was covered in leaves and branches and no broom to sweep. 2) No vac cleaner or broom for inside use. 3) Only 1 tea towel and 1 dishcloth for the entire 5 nights of our stay! 4) The shower in bathroom ! (with the bath in) has not been built with any support structure tan ply under the shower base! I am a qualified builder and when you stand in the shower it is very unsafe. Needs to be fixed before someone goes through the floor!!!! 5) Lounge suite very low and uncomfortable as are the kitchen chairs. 6) Cleaners need to fill handwash containers over sink instead of them being empty on guests arrival.
Summary: Although comfortable there was room for improvement as mentioned above.

Positive: Greeted by a very friendly host who was keen to please. Thank you Romain. Parking was available right outside our door. The large, comfortable double bed almost filled the bedroom.
Negative: No local attractions. About a 15 minute drive to La Rochelle
